Today (October 11, 2019) is the twenty-first anniversary of the canonization of Edith Stein (Saint Theresa Benedicta of the Cross). Fr. McCarthy tells us about his connection with this fascinating woman, how he came to name one of his daughters after her, and how a prayer tree to Edith Stein resulted in the miraculous healing of his daughter in 1987. In the first twenty minutes, we talk about the lack of interest, on the part of the American Catholic media, in reporting on the full background of the miracle.
