Abby Prohaska is a current member of the University of Notre Dame's basketball team who helped them reach the 2019 Final Four. Abby talks about growing up in Liberty Township, Ohio, how she got into basketball, and her great career at Lakota West High School where she won a State Championship in 2015, broke the school assist record, and played in the U-17 Fiba World Championship for Team USA. She discusses the recruiting process, why she chose Notre Dame, and the foreign tour she took with the team the summer before her Freshman year. Abby details her great first season with the Irish, where she played with 5 future WNBA players, the energy she brought to the team when she was in the game, and her great game against Stanford that helped Notre Dame advance to the Final Four. Abby then talks about having to sit out her Sophomore year with blood clots in both lungs- the diagnosis, the danger of Pulmonary Embolisms, the rehab, the decision to redshirt, and how she is feeling today. She also discusses the team Zoom call where Muffet McGraw announced her retirement and named Niele Ivey Head Coach.
