Alex Miller is an Assistant Coach for the University of North Carolina-Greensboro's Women's Basketball team. She played at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill from 2004-2009, went to 2 Final Fours, and was a member of 4 straight ACC Tournament Championship teams. Alex talks about growing up in Durham, North Carolina, being a lifelong UNC fan, how she got into basketball, playing in the Junior Olympics with future UNC teammates, and her great career at Hillside High School. She describes her recruiting process, why she chose UNC, what it was like playing for Hall of Fame Coach Sylvia Hatchell, playing behind point guard Ivory Latta, and how quick the team was when they both played together. Alex then discusses the ACC rivalries with Duke, Maryland, & NC State, getting to 2 Final Fours, winning 4 ACC Tournaments, her devastating knee injury that happened in the beginning of the 2007-2008 season, and her recovery to get back on the court for the next season. She talks about her decision to get into coaching after she graduated from UNC, playing semi-pro, coaching at her high school and AAU, how she got into college coaching, her time at Mississippi Valley State, her current position at UNCG, and how she thinks the 2022 squad will be.
