Alysa Auriemma is an English Teacher and Assistant Coach for the Girls Basketball Team at Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Connecticut.  She is also the daughter of UConn Women's Basketball Coach, Geno Auriemma.  Alysa talks about growing up in Manchester, Connecticut,  growing up around the UConn program, her own basketball career, and why she stopped playing in high school to focus on her greater passion, theater.  She explains how much she has always loved reading, including bringing books to the UConn games, and her passion for writing.  Alysa discusses why she chose to attend UConn, her own life there away from her father, going to NYC to pursue theater, her decision to return home, go back to school, and pursue English.  She describes how she became an English teacher, working at her alma mater Miss Porters, and helping to coach the basketball team.  She opens up about some viral moments she had as Geno's daughter, including her piece honoring Coach Pat Summit and tweeting at Morgan William congratulating her after she hit a buzzer beater against UConn.  Alysa then talks about the novel she wrote, "All Daughters Rise" that is available now for pre-order, and will be released on January 4th, 2022.  She describes her writing process, how she came up with the idea, what the book is about, why she decided to self-publish, and how she's already working on the sequel.
