Jackie Nared-Hairston is the Assistant Coach for the University of Arizona Women's Basketball Team. She played collegiately at the University of Maryland and St. Mary's College of California and professionally overseas. Jackie talks about growing up in Portland, Oregon, how she got into basketball, and her great basketball career at Westview High School. She discusses her recruiting process, why she chose Maryland, her two seasons with the Terps, and her decision to transfer closer to home that led her to St. Mary's. Jackie describes her outstanding 3 seasons with St. Mary's in which she broke several records, getting a try-out with the Los Angeles Sparks, and her career playing overseas. She details how she got into coaching, her time at the University of Washington where the team advanced to the 2016 Final Four, her time at the University of Oregon coaching a young Sabrina Ionescu, her time at Washington State helping a rebuild, and her current position as Assistant Coach for a great Arizona team. Jackie talks about the excellent 2020 season and looking forward to the 2021 season.
