Description

Marcus Ginyard played basketball at the University of North Carolina from 2005-2010 and currently playing professionally overseas in France for Limoges CSP.  Marcus talks about growing up in Alexandria, Virginia, both of his parents being in the military, and getting into basketball through his older brother, Ronald.  He discusses the great basketball in the Northern VA/Maryland/DC area, playing AAU for the DC Blue Devils, and his great high school career at Bishop O'Connell where he won 3 State Championships, was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in the state, and was coached by his brother.  He then details the recruiting process, why he picked UNC, and being able to play right away as a Freshman.  He talks about his highlights at North Carolina, getting better each year with the class he came in with, redshirting due to injury in 2009 when UNC won the National Championship, and returning for a 5th year in 2010.  Marcus then discusses his 10+ year professional career overseas, playing in many different countries, and now living and playing in France for Limoges CSP.
