Mikey Byrne is an Assistant Coach for the New York Institute of Technology Men's Basketball Team.  He also played collegiately at Bergen Community College and Farmingdale State College.  Mikey talks about starting basketball at a young age, his dad running the town basketball program, being coached by his dad, his high school career at Bergen Catholic and Wood-Ridge, and his 2 years at Bergen Community College.  He discusses how he faced injuries at Farmingdale State, his unconventional path to coaching and training, being on the coaching staff at Bergen Catholic and learning from Head Coach Billy Armstrong, and then moving onto Dwight-Englewood High School.  Mikey then moved on to college and coached at Rutgers Newark before landing the job at NYIT in 2019.  He talks about his first season, why he thinks the team is going to be even better in 2021, and whether he has aspirations to be a head coach one day.
