Natalie Novosel is a former professional basketball player who spent 5 years playing in the WNBA and overseas. Collegiately, she played at the University of Notre Dame from 2008-2012 where she helped them to 2 straight Final Fours. She talks about growing up in Lexington, Kentucky, coming from an athletic family where both her older sister and twin brother also played college basketball, her AAU days, and her great high school career at Lexington Catholic where the team was one of the best in the country. Natalie describes the recruiting process, why she chose Notre Dame, playing for Muffet McGraw, and her hard work in the summer following a disappointing Sophomore season. She then discusses her Junior year in 2011 where she was the Big East's Most Improved Player and helped the Irish reach their first Final Four in 10 years, beating Tennessee and UConn along the way to the championship game. She also discusses her fantastic Senior year in 2012 where the Irish were one of the best teams in the country, getting back to the Final Four, and her game-tying put-back to send the game to overtime and ultimately defeat rival UConn. Natalie talks about getting drafted 8th in the WNBA Draft, her time with the Washington Mystics, her great overseas career where she mostly played in Australia, going through 3 ACL tears, deciding to stop playing, and what she's been up to since she retired from the game.
