Description

Ronnie Palmer played football at the University of Arizona from 2004-2008, was signed by the Washington Football Team, and played professionally in the United Football League. He is now the Head Coach for Monterey Peninsula College.  He talks about growing up in Spring, Texas, how he got into football, and being a three-sport athlete at Spring High School, playing a little Quarterback, but finding the most success at Linebacker.  Ronnie discusses the recruiting process, why he chose Arizona, redshirting his freshman season, and the competitiveness of the PAC-10.  He then describes his great career, the team getting better each season he was there, meeting his now wife, Lauren, who was a great Arizona Softball player, and ending his career with a Bowl win in Las Vegas.  Ronnie talks about his time in the NFL with the Washington Football Team, playing in the United Football League, and going back to Arizona to start his coaching career.  He then gets into his time coaching at Monterey Peninsula (his 1st stint), Colorado State, Texas A&M Kingsville, Northern Colorado, and his first Head Coaching gig  back at Monterey Peninsula where he is anxious to start playing after the delay with COVID-19.
