Ryan Smyth is entering his 11th season on the Keystone College Baseball coaching staff. He played collegiately at Boston College, Brookedale Community College, and Keystone College, and also played professionally with the Evansville Otters. He talks about growing up in River Edge, New Jersey, coming from an athletic family, and how he got into baseball. Ryan describes his great career at Don Bosco Prep High School, his recruiting process, why he chose Boston College, and why he transferred after one year. He then discusses his transfer to Brookdale in NJ, his two years there, making the Junior College World Series, being named First Team All-American, and transferring to Division III Keystone College in Pennsylvania for his final 2 seasons where the team went 70-15. Ryan talks about his season playing professionally in the Frontier League, his decision to become a coach on the staff at Keystone College, making it to 2 College World Series, winning 15 straight Conference Titles, and coaching in the Cape Cod League in the summers. He also explains his love for golf which has become a family affair with his wife and daughter.
