Tyler Alter played volleyball at the University of Ohio State from 2017-2020 and was a member of the 2017 National Championship team. He talks about growing up in Laguna Beach, California, how he got into volleyball, playing both indoor and beach volleyball, and playing in the Junior Olympics for his 949 club volleyball team. He describes his volleyball career at Laguna Beach High School, his recruiting process, why he chose Ohio State, and what it was like dealing with a Midwest winter. Tyler explains why he redshirted his freshman year, the 2017 National Championship that was played at Ohio State, playing in the MIVA conference, getting better each year he played, and his academic success. He then discusses his Senior season in 2020 being cut short by COVID-19, why he chose not to use his extra years of eligibility, his thoughts on the popularity of NCAA Men's Volleyball, and what he's been up to since graduating a few months ago.
