The power of the ultimate gift of Free Will can be hard to understand. St Augustine says "good will is a will by which we seek to live a good and upright life and to attain unto perfect wisdom."
Free Will takes into account our freedom, but freedom in our society means the right to do whatever you want. The Church has a definition that respects our anthropology and our dignity as we combat the nature of original sin.
In this talk we learn about the Virtues, as well, as a means to develop the disposition and habitual perfections that lead us to govern our actions, order our passions, and guide our conduct.
"But I learned fast how to keep my head up 'cause I know there is a side of me that wants to grab the yoke from the pilot and just fly the whole mess into the sea."
