About Matt
In March 2005, Matt, laid off from a corporate banking job he disliked, founded M & E Painting with just $100, despite having nearly $200,000 in personal debt. The company quickly grew, generating over $30 million in revenue since 2005, and received numerous awards, including being named one of the United States' Top Small Workplaces by Inc Magazine in 2011. Matt himself received recognition, including being named one of Colorado Biz Magazine's Top Five Most Influential Young Professionals in 2010.
Matt has founded and grown six
successful companies, all run by exceptional individuals, including M & E
Painting, M & E Roofing Solutions, RiRy, Makers of
The Pirate Patch Drywall Repair Tool, Northern Colorado Jiu Jitsu, M & E Real Estate Ventures, and MattShoup.com. He also achieved a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt, traveled the world, raised a family, mastered cooking Spanish paella, and mentored numerous entrepreneurs and small business leaders while savoring cups of Spanish coffee at Café Sevilla.
