Aimée Parent Dunn is the publisher of Palimpsest Press, a local independent literary press. Aimée has a degree in English Literature and Language from the University of Windsor and a graduate certificate in Publishing from Ryerson University. She has over 15 years of experience editing fiction and is the literary fiction editor at Palimpsest. She is on the board for Literary Arts Windsor and the programming committee for BookFest Windsor. She lives in Windsor with her husband and two children. Her pronouns are she/her.
In 2012, she became a publishing assistant at Palimpsest Press, which had been founded by Dawn Kresan in 2000. Just over a year later, with the support of her husband Shaun Dunn, she bought the press and became its publisher. Palimpsest Press publishes beautifully designed books of poetry, fiction, and literary non-fiction. A palimpsest, by the way, is a piece of writing material manuscript on which the original writing has been effaced to make room for other writing. Palimpsest Press celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
