The hubris of humans never ceases to amaze the Animals. That we would perceive giving them our "human" rights as a good faith attempt to rebalance the whole and also as a way of making everything better for them, yielded a massive side-eye response. "You don't even treat each other equitably" was the overwhelming consensus. They have their own ideas of "animalhood".
