This week on The Digital Marketing Scoop, Mark is sharing great tips on how to start and run a successful podcast by sharing his own experience of building The Digital Marketing Scoop.

During this episode, Mark shares that in order to have a successful podcast, you have to hit at least one of the following:

Help - Are you going to give people information that is useful to them?
Educate - Are going to be educating people about a particular topic?
Entertain - Are you going to be entertaining people through storytelling, comedy etc.?

Other tips that Mark talks about include:

• Be consistent - the more episodes you publish, the more it grows and the more followers you will gain.
• Don’t fuss over the little things - you can start off by using your mobile phone (Anchor by Spotify is a great mobile app) and overtime you can build your equipment.
• Repurpose your podcast content on Social Media - pick clips that will grab your audience's attention (less than a minute for best reach) and post those to social media and drive people to your podcast platform (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, YouTube)
• Have fun - it should be fun doing a podcast, fun to see the growth and it’s fun to talk to people.
