Intro
Mini series on the Clean Heart looking at David's response when he was found out
Psalm 51:10-12
Sometimes we only acknowledge our sin and failure when we have been found out
Was David only sorry and repentant because of this or was it genuine repentance?
When we do confess and are genuine asking for forgiveness and turning away from Sin God is faithful and Just and forgives and forgets.

Because he doesn't remember he doesn't hold it against us ever!
Galatians 5 v16
The flesh wants what is contrary to the Spirit and the Spirit wants that which is contrary to the Flesh
The Holy Spirit Leads us to Holiness
"The Spirit is the Holy Spirit. Therefore, he blows in the direction of the holy. and blows against the direction of the unholy.
Is your life like walking with into a head wind or walking with a tail wind
Maybe some of your struggle is you are going in the opposite direction to the direction of the Holy Spirit. When he is blowing on our back it's much easier than when in our face.
God is greatly desirous for us to have more of His presence.
Freedom in the Holy Spirit

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. Now the works of the flesh are evident:
Let's look at this list that Paul mentions
1.sexual immorality,
2.impurity, - "a struggle to rid the soul of sin and impurity”
3.Sensuality, - physically pleasing
4.idolatry, -the worship of someone or something other than God as though
it were God.
5.sorcery, or Witchcraft, anything to do with Occult practice.
6.enmity, - Hostility
7.strife, - angry or bitter disagreement, conflict.
8.Jealousy, - of others, what they have, their success,
9.fits of anger,
10.rivalries, - Competing against another for the same thing
11.dissensions, disagreement that leads to disunity, Falling out
12.divisions, - Disunity
13.envy, - sin of jealousy over the blessings and achievements of others
14.drunkenness
15.orgies,
Not an exhaustive list as Paul goes on and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Practical ways of working this out -
●Look to the coming of the Lord. Fix your eyes on him.
●Be at peace; live in peace as far as it depends on you.
●Never bear malice; don‘t hold any grudge against anybody.
●Learn how to Forgive everybody. It does not matter whether they forgive you or not, you must forgive them.
●live in repentance;
● live wholeheartedly.
