Who is the Angel of the LORD?  When the Bible references this phrase, especially in the Old Testament, is it referring to a regular angel?  (Cherubim)   Or to someone else?

We're going to take a look at Genesis 16 and 22 to get a clear understanding of who is being referenced.

Genesis 16:10 KJV
And the angel of the LORD said unto her, “I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.”
