I spoke to the legendary music producer John Fryer and his wife Anjela Piccard of Black Needle Noise.

Best known for his 4 decades of production work with record labels such as 4AD, Mute Records, Rough Trade and Beggars Banquet, just to name a few, John Fryer is one of the founders of the English music collective, This Mortal Coil, a band he formed with Ivo Watts-Russell, the founder of the British independent label, 4AD. Fryer produced the second studio album by Clan of Xymox in1986called Medusa. In 1989 he produced the successful debut album by Nine Inch Nails' called Pretty Hate Machine. He has worked with many other notable artists in music and film throughout his musical career, many of which include Depeche Mode, The Cocteau Twins, Love and Rockets, Yaz, Nitzer Ebb, Peter Murphy, Fad Gadget, Cradle of Filth, H.I.M., Stabbing Westward, White Zombie, Sarah McLachlan and list goes on. In 2016, Fryer launched a musical project called Black Needle Noise, collaborating with various vocalists from all over the world.

As part of Black Needle Noise, singer and songwriter, Anjela Piccard is also an avant-garde jewelry and fashion designer, stylist and gallerist.  Her work as a curator and events planner ranges from international fine art exhibitions to high fashion runaway shows. As a jewelry designer her work has been shown locally as well as internationally. One of her original jewelry design from her Ice Collection was in a video by Emil, featuring Snoop Dog called Mr. Romeo. She was a hostess for a 3D art series called "Extreme Culture" that explores the lives and works of individuals who refuse to fit in to the confines of normal. Piccard continues to create in various other mediums of art, culture and high fashion.    She sings on the latest single by Black Needle Noise called "She Talks to Angels,"a cover by the Black Crowes, which will be released on Cleopatra Records.
