After thinking his dream was over, Warwick had an outstanding season for the Perth Heat in 2012 as a 21 year old. He was tapped on the shoulder in the dug out at the end of that season & offered a contract with the Detroit Tigers in the Major League Baseball competition in the US. Motivated to give it his all for his late grandfather, Warwick has ridden the highs & lows of what it's been like as a professional baseballer since.
