Elsie McCabe Thompson, is president of the New York City Mission Society in Harlem, the 200+-year-old non-profit that helps children, youth and families in the city’s poorest neighborhoods. Mrs. McCabe Thompson is a former president of the Museum for African Art and served as Chief of Staff under Mayor David Dinkins. She has served on the boards of numerous nonprofit and for-profit corporations. She currently serves on the boards of the National Recreation Foundation, the Trinity School, and the Learning Care Group, Inc. Mrs. McCabe Thompson is also a member of the Steering Committee of the Association for a Better New York (ABNY), the Greater New York Hospital Association's Diversity Committee, and the Association of Art Museum Directors. She is a graduate of Barnard College and Harvard Law School. She is married to former NYC Comptroller Bill Thompson and has twin daughters. www.nycmissionsociety.org/
