Description

Pastor Micah continued our current series "Devoted: Living Immersed and Empowered." This week we focus on how the Early Church was devoted to fellowship with one another. The Greek word used for fellowship is Koinonia which means "holding something in common." Repeatedly scripture teaches us about the importance of fellowship or joining together on a regular basis with the body of Christ. The enemy (Satan) wants to get us alone or get us thinking we’re alone, but Peter (1 Peter 5:8-9) wants us to remember we are not alone. We’re part of a much bigger family, a fellowship with a common focus and bond.

Main Point: There is amazing diversity in the fellowship of Christ, and amazing unity can be found through Christ.

Bottom Line: Fellowship is a communal exercise with a common focus.
