Description

Pastor Micah continues on in our series this week called "From the Ashes: Embracing the Full Life of God." Our lives can sometimes feel like they are a disappointing pile of ashes. We can be broken, shattered, and destroyed.

However, the good news of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection is that we can experience new life. In and through Christ, you can rise above the ashes and experience abundant life. Each week we will look at one aspect of Jesus’ life and ministry during His time here on earth and what we can learn from Him.

Confession is the process of recognition of sin, turning from it, and experiencing the forgiveness of God. Having a regular practice of searching our lives and coming into the light can cultivate a life full of grace and mercy as we rise from the ashes of past sins and poor decision-making in our lives.  For this week's message we focused on the story of the Prodigal Son found in Luke 15:11-24.

  1. We Squander It All (Luke 15:11-13; Isaiah 53:6)
  2. No Longer Worthy (Luke 15:14-20)
  3. Alive Again (Luke 15:20-24)

What can be confessed, repented of, and healed today? (James 5:16)

Bottom Line: What's keeping you from the Father today? (Anger, Unforgiveness, Offense, Unmet Expectations, Past Hurts, etc.)
