This past Sunday we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ. On Easter Sunday Pastor Micah finished our current series called "From the Ashes: Embracing the Full Life of God." Our lives can sometimes feel like they are a disappointing pile of ashes. We can be broken, shattered, and destroyed.
However, the good news of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection is that we can experience new life. In and through Christ, you can rise above the ashes and experience abundant life. Each week we will look at one aspect of Jesus’ life and ministry during His time here on earth and what we can learn from Him.
The centerpiece of the Christian faith is the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The fact that Jesus rose from the dead gives hope to His followers that since death was defeated, then there is nothing that cannot be overcome. As believers, we identify with Jesus in His death by dying to our old self and being raised to new life. Here are 4 lessons we learn from the life of Christ and His resurrection:
It’s a paradox, but from Jesus’ death comes new life. And not just breathing, not just skimping by, but abundant thriving. The fullness of life.
Bottom Line: Christ redeems it all, uses it all, and sees it all!
