Pastor Micah continued our series called "Joshua: Be Strong & Courageous." The book of Joshua is an exciting looking at ancient Israelite history; a pivotal era when the chosen people finally begin claiming the Promised Land after centuries of waiting, slavery, and wandering in the wilderness. Joshua was an intimidated new leader, replacing the legendary Moses, in a book that will challenge people to grow in their faith in God, challenge them to act, and call them to a decision in Christ.

In week 2 we looked at the story of Rahab from Joshua chapter 2, and how Joshua responded after God delivered them Jericho in chapter 7. Because of her faith, Rahab was able to act, but because Joshua grew too comfortable and confident in his own abilities he failed to act. These stories are powerful reminder to always return to God:

  1. Rahab knew God is supreme
  2. Rahab acted in faith
  3. Joshua failed to act
