Description

This week Pastor Micah continued on in our current series, "You Belong Here". Throughout this series we are discussing the importance and significance of gathering together. Each week we will look at a different topic from scripture that describes the importance of gathering together as a part of a local church body!

Week 2 we focus on "gathering for rhythm". By looking at Acts 2:42, Pastor Micah pulls out 4 main points for this week's message based on how the Early Church met on a regular basis to help them have a healthy rhythm to their lives:

  1. Teaching (Learning)
  2. Fellowship (Gathering Together)
  3. Breaking of Bread (Communion) (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
  4. Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13)

The early church was absolutely committed to these practices and I’ve got to believe that they knew a thing or two about the habits needed to persevere through life and all its difficulties.

Bottom Line: A healthy rhythm forms healthy habits - and habits are powerful in shaping our lives.

2 Response Challenges to this week's message:

  1. Identify and Access your habits or rhythm of life. Are they positive? negative? What would you like to change about your habits?
  2. What is keeping you from gathering for fellowship?
