Jesus said “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch” (Luke 5:4).
Today’s Gospel sounds like a good fishing story where Jesus is teaching His disciples how to fish. If we were to give it a title, we can call it: “Deep Fishing with Jesus” or “Jesus out-fishes the fishermen.” However, the purpose of this Gospel is not to show us how good a fisherman Jesus is or how to catch fish. Rather, Jesus leads us to the depths of blessings when we trust Him and allow Him to work in our lives....
