Description

Wow! It's finally here! Episode one is launched and I'm so excited to begin exploring what it is to be human - with you!

In this first episode, I share my intention for this podcast. I'm tired of the self help industry trying to tell you all the ways you're "broken and in need of fixing." Instead, I want us to embrace all the humanness - the flaws, the butt sweat, the insecurities. All of it. From there, we can work together to feel better (physically, mentally, emotionally) and tackle our challenges.

I'm also sharing my own story. I was diagnosed with mental illness in my early adolescence and was told my brain was broken. Since then, I have worked to better understand my own mind, body, and spiritual self. But I didn't get to a healthy relationship with myself overnight. It took over a decade of beating myself up, falling into unhealthy relationships, and underestimating my worth before I made the true change needed to take control of my own well-being.

Now, I travel the world full-time and help other woman feel more confident and badass through the foundations of yoga, mindfulness, and self-exploration. I do this through a membership site, courses, and coaching programs. Find more information and free resources at theremoteyogi.blog.

Do you have a human experience story? Maybe you did something embarrassing on a first date or hit your height of burnout in the middle of an important meeting with your boss? I want to hear about it! Submit your stories to taryn@theremoteyogi.com and I'll share them at the end of our upcoming episodes.

Help me to share the message of Embracing Human by liking this episode, sharing it with your friends, following the podcast, and giving a review. It means the world to me!
