MADE TO MOTIVATE is all about the Boobies!! We are joined by Madison Hendry. Madison Hendry is known throughout the community as “Mama Bird”. As she transitioned into motherhood, she began to listen to her Maternal instincts and begin to question the cultural norms. As a conceptual artist, her works are based around her lived experience as a mother and in turn, ask the viewer to question their own views.
After the premature birth of her 2nd son, Madison became even more fascinated with the mother infant relationship and went on to become a Certified Breastfeeding Educator and Birth Doula. Her goal is to provide evidence based information and support throughout the transition into motherhood to help families get off to the best start possible. She teaches breastfeeding and mother infant care classes and holds community events to advocate for mamas and their babies. Her artworks and mother support have been shared worldwide! Madison lives in a Cleveland suburb with her Husband, Tattooer Angus Hendry and 3 Children: Angus III, Huckleberry and Evergreen.
Madison holds a MFA in Sculpture from Brooklyn College 2011. She is owner of Mama Bird and Certified Breastfeeding Educator, Birth and Kangaroula Doula, Advisory Board Member of Non-Profit Organization Project NICU, Active Member of Artist Parent Index, and has shown work in International Exhibitions including her upcoming show in London, “Mother Art Prize” with ProCreate Project at Cromwell Place, London.
