The official launch of changes to Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward and Activision went live on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. (ET). This is part of incorporating all the new features into Call of Duty for Season 2. The launch will bring two new multiplayer maps into play. The first is Atlas Superstore. The other is a re-imagined Rust. This is the legendary small map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Rust will also feature a new Gunfight map. There will be a new Gunfight map in Bazaar and Ground War gets a new map in Zhokov Boneyard.

Tim Sweeney is the CEO of Epic Games. This is the gaming company behind the extremely popular Fortnite. At the DICE 2020 summit in Las Vegas, he went on record with his disapproval of loot boxes in video games. In his presentation at the summit, he compared loot boxes to gambling on slot machines. He also went on record saying that his company has no plans to incorporate them into any of its games. Games mentioned by name included Fortnite as Epic Games’ biggest success. Sweeney called loot boxes “hostile to players” and said they should not be used in any game.
Lastly, Atlantic City Casinos Get Off to a Fast Start in 2020
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement just released casino revenue figures for January. The combined nine casinos in Atlantic City reported $270.5 million in total gaming revenue. This reflects an increase of 22.6% over the same month last year. This was the 20th consecutive month of revenue increases. Most of the gain was driven by online casino play and sports wagering. Table game and slot revenue posted an 8.3% gain as a whole. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City and Ocean Casino Resort accounted for most of the growth. Both properties gained more than 35% over the same month last year.
