Welcome to the Queer Fitness Podcast. I'm your host, Elise, and every week I'll be interviewing a queer person about their experiences in fitness and sports.

Elise: Introduce yourself.
Asher: My name is Asher. I identify as queer and trans. And I work as a body positive personal trainer.
Elise: When did you start weight training?
Asher: I had to like, kind of sit there and like, be in my body and like, interact with it in a way that I had like really been avoiding for many years.
Meghan: I'm Meghan Potter and rugby enthusiast.
Elise: When did you start playing rugby?
Meghan: No, I can't tackle someone.
Elise: Right.
Meghan: That's not in my nature. Everyone knows, and I think that that's one of the cool things about rugby, you walk in and everyone's kind of half prepared for someone to come out. The definition and the results that I see do make me more confident in my own gender I think.
