We all know someone who knows someone who's big dream is to land a big recording contract or publishing deal. But on the flipside, we've all heard story after story of artists trying to get OUT of that "dream" deal.  Why? 

Now where as bad deals aren't necessarily done based on color, there is a peculiar phenomenon that will give you pause. It's bad enough that you can count the number of Black executives at the helm of major entertainment companies on one hand. How is it, then,  there's so many Black artists then still sign bad deals under their own kind?
