Welcome back to FriDudes! Bunch of flawed dudes getting real and pursuing Truth. For the newbies, thank you so much for giving us a shot. As for the understatement of perhaps year if not decade, very interesting times lately. We are living history. Here you go...
Thank you so much for joining us. Special thanks to Vaquero Guapo to help set those free that are bogged down in some worry, anxiety or depression. You are not alone. Tough times will test the best of us. As stated, just ask Peter. If he can freak out and doubt, you will have times yourself of freaking out or doubt. Don't let your pride get in the way. We believe God looks for an authentic heart of integrity not a fake heart of fake perfection. For those of you that call yourself Christian, how are you sharing your Faith and hope in tough times? Do you do it with gentleness and respect? As I eluded towards the end of this pod, Pastor Michael from Hosanna Youth gave a great example of this in 'As you Go' series published on 3/4/20. You can Google it for the whole message. Short version, you've seen a movie that you love and our passionate about. In this case, he used the movie Miracle that he has not seen. Do you approach it with an attitude of "What?! You haven't seen __________ yet? You are so stupid. How have you not seen it yet?". Or with gentleness, respect such as, "Oh wow, you get to see _______________ for the first time. That is so cool. I hope it impacts your heart like it did mine. Once you see it, let's compare notes of what is to love about it." Can you detect the difference? Your tongue reflects your heart. You can be a jerk and be right. I don't want to be that. Ideally, we are loving and correct while humble enough to know we are flawed. A balance much easier said than done. Here is the Good News, God already knows that about you. You are fully known. Flaws and all. You are loved so much that you are forgiven and encouraged in Christ via the promise in John 3:16. Your choice to accept that love, mercy and grace. On that note, this song request came in from Rod, "I'm Fully Known" by Tauren Wells. If you dig, please add it to your playlist and reflect/remind yourself of that fact...
