Merry Christmas and welcome to a very special, bonus kid edition of FriDudes. Some select brave and bold kids will be reading the original Christmas story. I love the innocence and sweetness of their voices. As for us parents, you know your heart for your kids. Share this listen with them and discuss? As I like to say, this story is either totally true or bull. You get to choose. I choose true. If true, then this is one of the most important lessons we can teach our kids. As Rod says, we bet on hope. This is a message and a promise of hope.
Special thanks to all those brave kids. For the kids listening to this, if you are depressed or have anxiety or not feeling well. You are definitely not alone. This message about Jesus is about Light and Hope in what can be a very dark, frustrating, broken world. You can be these kids and shine Light. God says you are here for a reason. You absolutely have a purpose. Your job is to ask God and find out what exactly is that purpose. Some of you can sing or play music, some of you are really good at science or math some of you are good at sports and may coach. The more you invest into a relationship with Jesus the clearer your path will become. You will have hope. You will better endure the tough times and bullies. On the flip side, you can choose to try and make yourself God. You can try to control everything...which is impossible. I'll also bet you might be your worst bully listening the voice in your head that says your are not good enough, not pretty, not smart enough, etc. That is only a path to hopelessness. Please Don't listen to those negative voices. Choose hope. Choose love. Choose to surround yourself with others that choose hope and love. Choose to love God. Choose to accept the hope of Jesus. And then take that hope and love and skills/gifts and serve others on this earth. If you do that, your heart will fill up. That is not my promise, that is God's and the gift of hope in Jesus.
