- Hey, welcome back to FriDudes! For those joining us for the first time, thanks for giving us a shot. Disclaimer, we are a bunch of flawed dudes pursuing Truth. Not everything that comes out of our mouths is right. Normally, I'm pumped to post up an episode like 'Bold Brian'. This week I feel heavy. We tackle abortion. If you boldly listen, can you do me a favor and make sure to listen until the very end for my recap? HINT: the above title aims at Christians (or better stated HypoChristians) that love to pick on others flaws without considering their own. Love vs. hate. Buckle up, here you go...
- Argh, that was heavy. For those that stuck with it and got to this point, would you level with us? Did you feel love, grace and mercy? Have you been hurt/pushed away by someone in the name of religion? If possible, I would like to share your story. On the abortion front or a different one. Please email me at djtommyp413@gmail.com. For any feeling guilt, and you have a HypoChristian belittling you, please know this. Rom 3:23 tell us that we are ALL flawed. Whether you had an abortion, contributed to one or whatever may be weighing you down, know we all are flawed. The Pope, the pastor of a mega church, your Mom or Dad, your neighbor, anyone that you heard on this podcast, all flawed. So if anyone is verbally beating you up from the HypoChristian side, you remind them of Rom 3:23. Next, ask that person who calls themself a Christian, what does Jesus say are the two greatest commandments? Short answer: Love God, Love Others. Tell them, I'm not feeling that from you right now. Do you really believe in Jesus' words? Shouldn't you practice what you preach? Lastly, God loves you. God wants a relationship with you...no matter how flawed you are. God loves building up the flawed. No matter your guilt, "For God so loved the world (that means you) that he gave his only Son Jesus, that whomever believeth in Him will have ever lasting life." That's it. Simple. You are forgiven if you seek forgiveness through Jesus. That's not my promise. That is God's - see John 3:16. So if you have anyone Lording over you with guilt, tell them to put that in their spiritual pipe and smoke it. Yeah, I'm fired up. Hopefully in a good way, hopefully you too. On that note, we go to 'Get Up' and get a Move On. So I'm going back to Shinedown and the song I referenced last week from the Bold Brian episode. Now go and do Good in Love and Mercy and Grace...
