There is a saying that when America gets a cold African-Americans get pneumonia. The point being, that when an event occurs which negatively impacts the larger society, blacks tend to disproportionately suffer the effects.

Lou and Teresa chat about how COVID-19 has severely impacted the finances of Black America. They discuss the types of jobs that tend to be recession and COVID-19 proof. The co-hosts discuss the importance of positioning ourselves to be in decision-making and authoritative positions. Lou and Teresa explore basic tips to manage finances in a way that prioritizes handling immediate financial responsibilities and shoring away funds for a rainy day; unfortunately, with COVID-19, it's raining. African-Americans will most likely feel the brunt of the downpour.
