Earrings Off! Co-hosts Lou and Teresa discuss the recent death of NBA Superstar Kobe Bryant and his 13 year old daughter Gigi Bryant. In addition to Kobe and Gigi, seven others died with them in a helicopter crash a mere seven days ago, on Sunday, January 26th.

Lou and Teresa fondly recall the impact positive males had on their lives and reflect on the critical role males play in shaping the lives of young girls.

Lou shares that after her dad died, her brothers first showed her how males were to treat her. Their love was instrumental in making her believe she was special.

Teresa talks about being a daddy's girl and how she too had three brothers who loved her dearly. Teresa also shares how she and her husband worked hard to make sure their two daughters knew they were loved.

During the episode, the hosts reference part of a quote by Former First Lady Michelle Obama where she notes "I am the product of what is possible when girls are loved..."

As a result of his death Kobe has inspired a movement which encourages men to unabashedly express love for their daughters. Men around the world have responded by posting photos of them with their daughters under the caption #girldad. Listen in!
