In today’s episode Lou talks with Donna White-Bailey and Karita Law about Kleine-Levin Syndrome (KLS). KLS is a rare disorder. Patients may sleep up to 20 hours a day. As you can imagine, this symptom (along with other alarming symptoms) greatly impacts their lives. Donna’s son Ryan and Karita were both diagnosed with KLS. Sadly, Ryan died at the age of nineteen. Through a local track event, Run for Ryan, Donna found a way to remember Ryan and to ably advocate for others.
