In today’s episode Lou and Teresa discuss the recent shooting of 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant. The co-hosts talk about the fact that African-Americans are taught to teach our children to embrace their culture and to be who they are. Yet when African-American parents send our children out into society, our children are disproportionately penalized for doing just that. African-American children can’t win, and neither can the parents. The hosts make note that it’s hard to process all that we are going through as a community; however, now more than ever, it’s important to stay engaged and listen in.
