What is your anchor in life? What do you hold onto when the waters get rough and circumstances spin beyond your control?
Hebrews 6:19 teaches us that, through Christ, we have an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. This anchor is what keeps us steady - in both peaceful waters and troubled waters. But how does this work in life?
In this episode, as we continue our “Hope Rising” series, our host Helen Todd is joined by Marty Macdonald, the senior pastor of The City Church in Batavia, New York. They talk about this kind of hope - how it works in our lives, and how he has been able to hold onto it even in the toughest seasons.
04:00 - Marty’s thoughts on what’s happening at Asbury University and around the nation
08:45 – What does it mean to be anchored in hope
14:10 - Practical ways to navigate life’s storms
23:55 - Marty’s future hope
