Description

On Episode #163 the boys are joined by one of the greatest GM's in NHL history, Ken Holland.  He won the Stanley Cup  four times with the Detroit Red Wings, the first in 1997 as assistant general manager and goaltending coach, and three as general manager in 1998, 2002 and 2008. These days, he's the general manager for the Edmonton Oilers. Kenny has had some of the best names in hockey playing on his teams - guys like McDavid, Datsyuk, Draisaitl, Federov, Lidstrom, Zetterberg - even Steve Yzerman - and many other names too. He also discusses how much NHL superstars have changed in his hockey career. He also takes us back to one of the greatest rivalries in history between the 90's Red Wings and Avalanche, the glory days of the Russian 5, and working with Mike Babcock. Before Kenny joins the show the boys go through the league talking about the mess that is the Vancouver Canucks, P.K. "Slewban" and the insane Leafs/Jets game that left a lot of work for NHL Player Safety. Enjoy our chat with Hall of Fame GM Ken Holland on this edition of The Cam & Strick Podcast.
