Ryane Clowe is one of the more underrated tough guys in recent history and could turn it up in the playoffs. Like all players from Newfoundland, he had a very unique upbringing that moulded him into becoming a professional hockey player. He experienced the culture shock of being drafted by San Jose and has many stories from playing with guys like Dany Heatley and Joe Thornton. He talks about when Jeremy Roenick went after Patrick Marleau, signing a $25 million contract in New Jersey and much more. He opens up about his career-ending due to repeated concussions, a reverse shoulder from Blues forward Alexander Steen being the final blow. Retirement is treating him well, he says he’s doing great now and opens up about his journey to feeling healthy. Enjoy Ryane Clowe on this edition of the Cam and Strick Podcast.
