On July 6, 1892, a battle raged in Homestead, Pennsylvania. This was not a military conflict. It was a fight between a powerful labor union and one of the country's largest steel manufacturers. More than ten men would die in this battle and the outcome would affect the lives of industrial workers for decades to come.
