It is my honor to speak with my son, Kavi Saxena, about his perspective as a first-year teacher. He is learning on the job teaching middle-school Math to 7th graders in an underserved school. He was finding his groove with his students and in a routine when the pandemic hit and he now has to learn to teach remotely.
He shares insight and expertise with parents to help them feel reassured about their parental roles while they also try to teach their children the expectations of academics.
