Ian is Filipino American and his girlfriend is Canadian. They connected virtually via Twitch in 2021 during a time of closed borders and extremely limited travel exceptions. We discuss the difficulties of trying to connect with someone online and choosing to commit when you've never met in real life. Making long distance work during the pandemic took on a whole new meaning and Ian gives us a glimpse into how him and Sara made it work.
