Manipulation - Tiny repeated micro-aggressions that are designed to make you feel small in order to give your parents more power. It can be very painful and damaging to just feel that you’re always wrong. As childhood victims of toxic parental manipulation, we end up responding to daily life situations (as adults) with self-doubt, self-blame, and a chronic sense of always being wrong. Awareness and healing provide us with an opportunity to break that cycle.  As we face our shame for being manipulated all the time and feelings of abandonment, we begin to realize that our self-image is not actually based on objective reality. We start to see more emotionally mature view of what’s happening and approach life with more clarity and as balance.Â

We are fun NON-therapists and we discuss not-so-fun toxic families and multi-generational dysfunction. We are ordinary people sharing a healing journey in hopes to inspire other ordinary people to laugh as well as find their own path to healing. We are not life coaches. We are not licensed therapists. We want to the be the voice of the unheard and take the subject of toxic families more seriously than we take ourselves...and we use bad words.Â
