Description

In this show Charu speaks to Vandana Pawa.  Pawa is a community focused thought leader, writer, and educator whose passion lies in transforming institutions to create equitable spaces for learning, development, and civic participation. In creating these equitable spaces, those with barriers to success have the capacity to thrive in their work. She has held a variety of meaningful roles that have expanded her passion for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Civics focused work, including overseeing the Center for Community Action and Research at Pace University and the CommUNITY Education Program at Indiana University Bloomington, serving as the Scholarship, Leadership, and Advocacy Chair for the Asian Pacific Islander American Network for the American College Personnel Association (ACPA), and serving as a member of the Young Leaders Institute with national organization South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT).
