Today we discuss how I learned some valuable lessons in ALERT (International ALERT Academy) at an abandoned copper mine in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Why do we value some hard things over others? People that physically compete in sports are almost universally respected for their effort but in contrast a mother who works just as hard to raise a large family is scorned. Why?
