The 1900s are here, and it is a time for change in Europe. Calvacade follows two different families over the first three decades of the 20th century, for better or for worse. Their stories intertwine with achievement (Louis Bleriot's flight over the English Channel), tragedy (the voyage of the Titanic) and war (both the Boer War and World War I). Combining the class commentary of Downton Abby and the time-hopping of Cimmaron, Cavalcade offers an early (and at times depressing) review of the 20th Century.
Cinema Cemetary will need to decide if this film is a Cavalcade...or a Cataclysm.
