Description

One of my listeners reached out so I asked her what more I could cover of value to her. She suggested how I am building a business & keeping the balance. So here is what I wish I knew.

I have to say I’m NO expert – at all! I am still learning since I’ve only been out on my own for about a year and a half. I immerse myself in books, in certifications, in other podcasts – I truly believe in lifelong learning. If you don’t grow you’re dead!

So I started compiling things I wish I knew as I started out on my own
#1 – No one is going to believe in your business as much as you do. This one I still struggle with, but it was eye-opening when the lightbulb finally went off. People don’t understand work from home life – they just don’t. I would get so offended when others didn’t think I was busy working or didn’t value my time. Thing is – I can’t change them, but I could change my attitude.

 #2 – Please know – balance isn’t a thing…

#3 – Once you get to a tipping point, OUTSOURCE. As type A #1, I want to control everything. I felt as though I was do a disservice to my clients by hiring outside help. That no one could do it but me. But the thing is my time is MONEY – literally, my time is my product. So by outsourcing I was able to get time back in my day to focus on the important pieces/larger vision of my business.
